bloggerblock0.jpgThurs. September 27, 2007, Lexington, Kentucky - Blogger's Block, the form of writers block that takes it's toll on bloggers is sweeping the nation. Thousands of bloggers are stumped about "what do I write next?"

Evidence of bloggers making posts about "what to write when you have nothing to write about" is appearing at an alarming rate.

Thomas Stankler, a political blogger from Wichita Kansas tells us "It's really depressing. I can't think of anything to blog about anymore. I've taken to walking around fields until somebody posts again about what to do when I can't think of something to write."

bloggerblock1.jpgThomas continues, "Those bloggers that talk about blogging, what's wrong with them anymore? Can't they help an older man out? Blogger's Block is a downer. We need more posts about what to do when we don't know what to blog about. A list would be perfect."

The latest Gallup polls show that at least once per week 75% of bloggers are at a loss for what to write about. Economists are beginning to fear this could be an end to the "blog economy".

At Roosevelt Elementary #3, Mary Shendell, a live journal blogger for 3 years, spoke about the current crisis.

bloggerblock2.jpgMary says "I think it's great people don't know what to write about because that means more people will read my blog and not theirs. Besides, why are you writing a blog anyway if you don't know what to write? Duh, like, you can tell those lame blogs where people are making stuff up, they are junk to the maximum! Why blog anyway?"

Mary also elaborated "the blogosphere is so way crowded that people without something to write should just quit writing. You are making the world a bad place to live in when you force it."

Kevin Mooooldoon, expert blogosphere analyst from Bloggingtips.com warns that panic is not necessary at the current level of Blogger's Block however steps should be taken to prevent a blogosphere crash.

bloggerblock3.jpg"The threat is real, bloggers are not knowing what to blog about on a growing basis. At the blog-about-blogging level we need to really start cranking out posts about what to blog about when you don't know what to blog about."

Furthermore Kevin says "if you don't have at least one, and if not dozens, of posts about helping people combat Blogger's Block in your archives, legislation is being drawn up now to prosecute you, and you could face criminal charges in the future."

What can you do combat bloggers block? Kevin suggests "The next time you don't know what to blog about, simply make a blog post about tips to combat blogger's block." Not only will this simple technique give you something to blog about today, it will also provide directions for other poor bloggers in your same position.

( 20.09 - see last tip :-)) )

@valentin - I wrote the whole thing, every single quote. It was a satire on many of the posts I've seen lately and posted in "fakenews".

I checked with Kevin if he was ok that I used his "likenesss", aka Kevin Mooooldoon, and he didn't seem to mind.

It was my creative writing attempt at making an onion style post, but I reckon some of it is lost now explaining that.

I found it quite amusing anyway ;-)

I felt the "acid" in your post, that`s for I replyied too here :-P

As you sure can see, my 20.09 post was also a bit "acid" reff to "what could I write today" question comming in many bloggers`s minds so often ..

I enjoyed your part about the Roosevelt Elementary #3 girl hahaha - that was really creative part to add salt and pepper to the issue

I didn't mean any acid, just having fun with the abundance of posts I see on the topic of what to write when you don't know what to write.

it seems if at some point most bloggers sit down to blog and don't know what to write, so they stick there chest out and tell me what to do when i don't know what to write (which doesn't happen). Plus I don't understand the abundance of posts like this, why are people having such a hard time coming up with stuff to write about?

Ya know, Mark, there is no smoke if there`s no fire.

I have also noticed the (blog)rush into subject and that`s for I make that post - yet I wanted to be acid, therefore I put that last tip :-))

As "why are people having such a hard time coming up with stuff to write about?", I have only one answer, which is supporting your "you will not make money on internet" :
People are hyped by gurus to join all kinda stuff - including blogging - and after a time, find out they are in middle of something they are not ready for, them account is not overfilled with cash, they have little traffic, they found all has been said and them creativity is not at "home" (if they ever had creativity, they woulnd`t be simply followers) ..
In this moment, gurus "cleverness" comes again and say "keep doing what I told you to do, you didn`t do it with enough dedication".
So, in a end, people reach the point of "nothing to write, but must make a post about something".
Some - very few - cease to write and that`s all folks.
Others keep trying. Those one need pro help : lists about what to write when you don`t know what to write.

mwuahahahhahahahahhahahahhahaha

I have usualy 2-5 posts in draft, I bet you have too. I also know at least 10 others who also have or, if not, anyway they never shown lack of inspiration moments.
With my limited mind, I can`t think one can reach to point is nothing to write, no matter the niche .. anyway, why niche would limit posts`s subjects ?

Everybody has a brain and can surely think different from others. Keeping just this simple thing in mind, everybody can blog !

So, I'm revolting against your post
;)

@valentin - anytime I come up with a thought that would make a good post I write it down, i always have a list of at least a dozen things i can post about on any of my sites, but I can always thing of something to talk about off the top of my head. That is an interesting point about people hyped by gurus up with no place to go.

@blog.rraina.com - revolt away! the world would be boring if everybody agreed.

Great blogging comments from @Valentin and from @blog.rraina.com. It was a quiet interesting one from were they have argued in so many ways. I would like to see that the argument between this members should go on. i will be more interesting if it goes on.

LOL another great post Mark - and very witty.

I've just realised that these type of "newspaper" posts need to be used more in the blogosphere, because at times, they can be really fun to read.
45n5 () says on September 29, 2007:
thanks adnan, I had fun doing it ;-)
