blogsale.jpgThis morning there was a bit of buzz when cashquests.com apparently sold on sitepoint for $15000, with 900 subscribers. There is still no official word on the blog.

Now Xfep just pointed me to another mid sized make money online blog trying to take a quick payday which is 5xmom.com wanting to cash out at over $10000 with a PR0 and only 200 subscribers, wow.

Why the new selloff?

Just a guess, but these two bloggers both made the majority of their money with pay per post, who are currently enemy number with google, and probably don't have much of a future.

My guess is they think the make money online bubble has peaked, I think they are dead wrong. Maybe pay per post has peaked, but that's about it.

For the rest of us the party is just getting started ;)

I present piece of evidence #1 and piece of evidence #2, for starters.

Indeed, the rules changed a little. So what. Did you really expect the world to stand still? Adjust and move on.

I can't believe some of the prices these blogs are getting! But I wouldn't be cashing in at the moment.

I want to sell my blog. How much do you think can fetch? :)
Mani Karthik says on November 20, 2007

I agree with you Mark,

I think the blogs are just young and had they waited for some more time (if at all they had to sell), they could've fetched more.

Good for them, they made some solid cash isn't it?

I don't think that making money online has ended, but you may be right that talking about it so much has burst. However, the ease at which these blogs are selling would suggest otherwise.

I think it's crazy that so many bloggers are bailing out after about 6 months as this is the hardest time. I'm not saying that after 6 months is easy but for me the hardest of blogging is establishing your first blog.

Mark,

I am not sure when did you update the top 100 list but my blog is PR0... I guess now I can say goodbye to top 100 ;)

Hi Mark!
LOL, you picked it up! Actually, the site has a lot of sentimental value to me though it doesn't make as much money as my other sites. However, when I see the position on the SERP, it seems such a waste to that privilege. I will not do any affiliate marketing and stuffs like that because I always have that conscience not to take advantage of folks who are looking for quick bucks. Many have stumbled on my blog to find 'make money' and things like that. So, it is better I turn it over to someone who can bring it to its real use. I do have some offers which is already five digit amount in my currency but I am firm with my expectations. Once again, thanks for the "evidence".

Oh ya, I lost PR like all others but I no longer have any paid posts nor text links. In fact, I forego several hundred dollars because I cut them off immediately and return the money.

There had been speculations that Cash Quest will be sold soon and I am not surprised about the price at all.

About 5xmom, she is a money making blogger who is already making money on the Internet, having a somehow big blog network and I don't think whether the blog can be sold off or not will matters her much.
cashmarble.com says on November 20, 2007

if i were 5xmom.com i won't sell that blog, thou i can she is looking for fast money, i rather keep that blog as PR things can always changed.

I don't think the money is well spent on buying blog with PR0.

What's more it is laden with so many paid posts.

Rumor saying that Google not only make blogs like these with PR0, but it has also include them into an unofficial "blacklist" which the revival is almost impossible for PR.

Bloggers like these just tried to squeeze whatever they have left.

If you have $10,000, will you buy?
