I'm interested in becoming a Domain Reseller, I think. Not to turn a profit on a domain, rather:

If I set up a basic website package and charge $149 for this service it would include a new domain name for the customer.

I really don't want them to have to pay me most of the money, then go to godaddy or elsewhere and register a domain there, and then figure out how to setup the DNS.

I want to take the $149 and their personal info, then I'll go setup the domain for them. This could be accomplished if I'm a domain reseller correct?

Are any readers here domain resellers? Any thoughts on where or what I should do?

I have done some research and www.onlinenic.com seems pretty straight forward. The service is free however you have to prepay the domains so they can determine your level of discount. The only minor pain in the arse is a fax machine is required during the sign up process, which I don't own (I'm not even sure why they still make them).

Great idea. I hope you can make it real. A fax may not be needed at all, because there is some software which can simulate fax over modem.

Thank you for sharing this new idea with me !
