Affiliate Summit announced a micro essay twitter contest thingy where you can get a free full conference pass to the summit coming up in a few months in Boston:
All you have to do to enter is to follow Affiliate Summit on Twitter and submit a 120 character essay to the Affiliate Summit Twitter account on why you deserve a free pass.
Please note that winning passes are not transferable and non-refundable. One entry per person per week.
It appears they will pick one winner every monday for a few weeks so I would spend some extra time on your tweet to make sure you are picked ;)
I'll be at Affiliate Summit East 08 in Boston and hope to see as many of you there as possible.

Hi 45n5,
this is my first visit to your blog and I hope you don't take this the wrong way but I picked up some obvious problems with your video posts and can maybe offer some tips to help improve on them.
You are using a large number of filler words such as "basically", "err" and "um" which are annoying to the listener. The cause of this is speaking faster than you can think.
This is what I learned from a YouTube tutorial on speaking clearly.
It's not my idea.
I am personally bad at making videos but wanted to learn about how to improve on this important skill.
And one of the key things I learned is to speak slowly so your brain can output the info at a pace that does not require you to add the ums and err filler words.
Again, I really don't want to stir things but this issue immediately grabbed my attention as I watched a couple of your latest videos. So I maybe offered some constructive criticism here?

@multivar - if I could stop saying "er" I would, it's not easy and I do try sometimes.if you have any good tutorials do share ;)

That is a big problem for lots of people. It just takes practice. The biggest thing is slowing down when speaking. It's not easy to do but you have to actively try it.

Here is a link to a very good video tutorial on eliminating filler words from speech:

Slowing down is the key.
