Just got back from the first round at the meet market. I really need to up my photo game. I met Shawn Collins, Ian Fernando, and more but forgot to snap the pics. Will try harder. Here's a few I grabbed, the place was really packed.

May I ask what is the benefit of going to this conferences other than the generic Internet Marketing information and meeting new Internet Marketers?
I know it might be a stupid question but I would love to go to one of the conferences but they are SO expensive, and honestly I would like to see a nice return over what I invest if I attend one.
In my opinion you can find the same information on the web, forums and blogs than what you can learn in conferences, how ever, I see all the big players going to this conferences.
So why do they go?
Nice start and was cool to finally meet you in person. I just made a few blog updates on the event so far as well!
@ Juanito: Attending these events can change everything for your business. Networking is everything... and the people at these events are the people you need to meet and work with.
@ Zac: Hey contrats on your $800,000 site, awesome post, it made me change many the way that I look at revenue generation for a site....
Going back to my question I understand that if you have a site about making money online it would be awesome to meet people in the industry, how ever for the regular Juanito like me, where is the benefit, lets say I have a fishing site and I already know all of the generic Internet marketing stuff, what good would it be for me to meet someone like "Andrew Wee" (just an example).

in my opinion, meeting people can make you more motivated and inspired. You cant buy Inspiration but an effort to meet people is worth it.
By looking at other niches, sometimes you can get more ideas on improvement on your niche. And maybe you can come up with a whole new formula (then you can sell it :P)
By meeting face to face, some times people will accidently revealed his or her secret because they were so excited at that time.. we can take advantage :D
