Do you measure online success any way other then with dollars and cents?
Here are two benefits that add to success that don't involve money.
My Personal Virtual Network
Even if I'm not rich at the end of the day I'm building a huge extensive network of creative individuals from around the world.
Whether it is from readers on this blog or twitter followers or any other site, my network is global.
If I were to travel almost anywhere I would have a contact there.
In addition there is a great network of creative minds to whom I can ask questions.
This is something that is hard to put a price on but should for sure be considered if you are thinking of giving up blogging or asking if it's worth it.
My Personal Satisfaction
Even if I didn't make my personal earnings goals I gain quite a bit of personal satisfaction in knowing that I'm striving to achieve financial independence and never be a wage slave again.
I felt good that I was working towards something and wasn't wasting my free time.
I'm still not rich or at the level of earnings I'd like, but I love what I do and pursuing what I want to do how I want to do it ;)
Any Other Ways To Measure Beyond Dollars And Cents?
I'm sure I'm missing many benefits of playing the make money online game that aren't directly based on your earnings at the end of the day. Thoughts?

Well for one you are paving the way for a new way of publishing globally that will eventually affect how many businesses conduct their business from this point on. I consider this to be part of the trailblazing of the new age and that giees me some satisfaction.

I totally agree wth you. If I has spent my time working on my website instead of playing hours of video games and tv watching I would of had much more knowledge and pratice, and thus had been better off overall. Oh well, no use in crying over spilt milk. I learned my lesson.

I have met so many great people, not necessarily wealthy people, but people that are valuable to me.
I am slowly building my empire, well village, and it keeps me excited enough that I get up every day at 5am without an alarm clock. I just love waking up every day to work my hobbies online.
I was a computer instructor for 20 years and lived to help people, now I live online and still live to help people.

I am amazed to discover that I have a group of reader on HP who actually think I write something useful! Its lovely to get feedback and encouragement: unfortunately my own blogs tend to be talking to myself exercises! Unfortunately it doesn't pay the rent!
Self employment and hopefully at least partial passive income is a pretty huge benefit compared to a J.O.B (just over broke)

I am glad I started this internet marketing/blogging or some sort to do with websites creation because I meet so many people who are clueless about the power of internet.
The best part is WE are still learning whereas others are in the dark ages and one day when they retire or got fired, they have no Plan B.
The internet is still an infancy age and yet many people just do not want to venture into the cyberspace world.
Oh well, they will pay sooner than later.
There you go, how do you put a price tag on this kind of learning!
Most employers do not even want to hire you if you don't have some sort of a blog or a website!!

What a great idea. I never thought that building a virtual network would be so valuable.
