TrishaLyn asks for if I have any ppc tips? I'm still learning but I've got one:

Go to Cdfnetworks and subscribe, read the archives, get to know the author who's name is chad, ask questions there, etc.

Cdfnetworks is THE place for ppc marketers on the internet. Not only are the archives full of good info you can ask questions and hang with other ppc marketers. Highly recommended.

Charles asks "how do we recognize scams?"

I think bunches of the offers on cpa networks are scams yet they are one of the most popular things going in this neck of the woods so the term "scam" is pretty subjective around here.

The question is broad so I'll provide some broad advice:

1. If it sounds too good to be true, it is, stay away

2. If you don't know the person behind the offer (or their reputation), stay away

3. If there is fine print, stay away

4. If there isn't any contact info stay away

Basically use some common sense. You might also want to contact the people before any purchase to get a feel for what they are like.

Thanks Trisha and Charles for the questions ;)

This is waaay off topic but I can't seem to find an answer...If you have products to sell, stores, etc..where is the cheapest place to go to get affiliates to sign up under you? Does that make sense?

@Lori - clickbank works, paydotcom works, http://www.digitalproductdelivery.com/ works

there are bunches of solutions, not sure the cheapest though, if i understood the question correctly

A good way to tell if something is a scam in the make money online internet business is a get rich in 30 days or make 5,000 the first month sales pitch.

No... CDFnetworks is ONE of the sites on the internet for PPC. Hit up Amit @ www.SuperAffiliateMindset.com. He has some great tutorials on how to structure a campaigns in Adwords.

But yeah, Chad has a great site.

Thanks for the tips Mark - I do already subscribe to Amit's blog and it's great, but another resource is always welcome.

Another way to tell if something is a scam is to google various phrases on the site and the names of who's behind it to see what the buzz is out there. Or ask someone trusted in the industry if they've heard anything on the DL about the people or project.

The best way to pick out a scam for me is to gather as much information as you can on the topic. Don't just listen to one source, if two or four people are talking about one thing then you might luck out, but keep in mind most people don't tell exactly what they are doing to make something work so be sure and read between the lines.

An example of that is most PPC'ers don't talk about how much they spend to make what they make doing it.

Great post Mark

The best way to spot a scam is when they say they make $$$$$$$$$$ per week but they never tell you what their websites are.

All very true, although I find many companies and programs that have good products and services online, but are still hiding behind email. trouble ticket systems, and sometimes have phone numbers...but do not have voice mail, do not return messages, do not respond to email, etc.

These are sometimes well known and respected Internet marketers. I think it gives the industry a bad rep all the way around.

Just poor customer service and poor tech support.
