Premium Domains Expiring

I like bidding on domains just to partake in the private auction. If not to bid high, at least to see what domains are fetching price wise.

So today haq.com was expiring and I bid on it.

I was gone most of the day today and just got home to see that snapnames.com secured the domain haq.com and entered me into the private auction. (Aside: snapnames.com wins more domain drops than any other, so far.)

My initial bid was the minimum bid of $60 dollars. When I got home the bidding was already at $3600.00. Wow!

It's hard to believe somebody let a domain worth at least $3600 dollars, and probably much more, simply expire.
