pass30.jpgThe Thirty Day Challenge might not as big as donkey kong, but it is growing at healthy pace, and we might learn a trick or two from the growth.

I'm surprised with the enthusiasm people have for the Thirty Day Challenge. I also find it AWESOME how many people are willing to give video a try now.

If you want an example of a community embracing video check out this thread (with at least a dozen videos so far promoting the challenge): 30DC/YouTube Film Festival is On! - Don't you had you that kind of enthusiasm for your blog/website/project/etc?

One of the concepts Seth mentions in Unleashing The IdeaVirus is enabling your customers to promote your idea themselves by facilitating the conversation between them and giving them the tools to spread the idea.

The future belongs to marketers who establish a foundation and process where interested people can market to each other...Ignite consumer networks and then get out of the way and let them talk.

Isn't every video made for the thirty day challenge somebody marketing the challenge? I would say creating a "Thirty Day Challenge Film Festival" is for sure creating at least one "process" that helps consumers market the idea.

I think another amazing marketing move by the 30dc crew was to teach their members how to use stumbleupon and digg, teaching them tools to help spread the challenge further.

I find it just as interesting watching the challenge grow as I do participating in it.
