parasite.jpgIf you still weren't convinced that parasite seo shouldn't be the way to teach people to respectably make money online, go read this thread: tumblr accounts suspended!

Do you think they deleted the content for no reason or because many people consider these activities spam/black hat?

There is no better testament to me saying that parasite seo is a short term play at best than looking for the site they used in the video examples showing off their techniques has been removed from tumblr: howtobecomeaweddingplanner.tumblr.com/

Sure parasite seo works sometimes, and if you've been around awhile making real money, have fun experimenting, but it is something you for sure don't want to build a business on.

The best use of parasite seo in my opinion is being part of a reputation management strategy, otherwise your content is just the flavor of the day, and quite easily deleted or google slapped by someone else.

Update: 1 hour later

This is the official word from Dan one of the 30dc founders:

Seriously guys and gals, there is nothing to get your knickers in a knot about. Yes we are seeing mass deletion of blogs from Tumblr... but Tumblr is not the only place in town...

"mass deletion" ouch.

Honestly, I never heard of Tumblr. I'm interested in finding out more.
BTW - You have a great blog, I am going to subscribe.

I hope you don't mind plugging myself but I just wrote up a list of alternatives to Tumblr for any 30 Day Challengers that happened to get "slapped" by the Tumblr devs.

I wondered how long it would last. As soon as people start abusing these options it ruins it for everyone.

Sam just quote Tumblr's lead developer as saying:

"I’m nuking Tumblr “affiliate marketing” spammers by the thousands. This is surprisingly fulfilling."

@linda - if they work people will always be trying to abuse them, unfortunately

I'm amazed they didn't even send tumblr an email before they sent people there

Indeed amazing that there hasn't been any contact between both parties...
