Scott Jangro: Build something in 2008 that's going to be around in the year 2010.

Want to share with others some projects you think you will still be working on and excited about in 2 years? Leave a note about them in the comments.

For me, here's 3:

45n5.com - This blog will keep rolling on ;)

showyouradhere.com - I manage ads on any new sites I build with this, even when I'm not selling the adspace I use it to rotate my ads.

camcorder.fm - Soon to be built. This will also serve as an "example" affiliate site for me.

The Virtual Time Capsule

So who is in charge of remembering to come back to this post in 2 years?

Who thinks they will really still be working on the projects they list below in 2 years?

Well then, write them down and we'll see ;)

My first big project is my Affiliate Mashup Store:

affiliatemashupstore.com

And no doubt I'll be working on updates and improvements for many years to come. I was inspired partly by your various scripts Mark and your advice to just learn php because it's easy - and it turns out it really is.

So yeah, in a couple of years you'll see thousands of people running their own affiliate mashup stores... ;)

I think this is the first time I've seen a video where you actually talk in a normal voice volume rather than speaking loudly (not quite yelling but almost there) like you usually do for whatever reason lol

The blog will still be going, www.bloglyne.com

The insurance site - www.QuoteMyAuto.com or another one which I am holding in reserve, just in case this one gets one of those Super Slaps...

In two years I will still be working on my main blog http://www.novavizia.com/

Let's see what the future will bring to all of us.

http://www.Technogumption.com - dedicated to online marketing for beginners

My other great passion is kiteboarding. I have a number of projects involved with that including:
http://www.kite-exchange.com - a classified ads site
http://www.kitefreestyle.com - online video magazine
http://www.monkey-bum.com - clothing company
Collin - Feed Flare says on March 8, 2008

Well to be honest Mark I don't think my art site will be around unless I can find some way to get it to start moving.

Feed Flare on the other hand I am feeling great will be around in 2 years as I know it is something that people are always going to need to be covered. RSS is only going to get bigger, not smaller.

Tool Belt Tips dot com, a site that I am starting in the very near future and am looking forward to see where it can go. I was hired by b5media to run it and can't wait to get started.

Well there you have it,

2 of my biggest right now are

www.NeuroSurgeryVideos.com

All operations will be posted on videos

and my wine projects

I have www.WineInWashington , www.WineInCalifornia.com, www.WineInOregon.com and 200+ wine domains and I am the 2nd largest wine domains owner in the world.

Found out that Amazon will be selling wine on the internet soon and I will be building a virtual superMarket affiliating with Amazon.

I get lots of offers to sell.
The high gas prices is good for my business!!

@hugepedlar - awesome. This is something similar to what Mark over here already does for his aff sites...

As for me, I will still run my blog, and I have a couple of projects that I am working on which I plan to launch in the next couple of months.

@all thanks for the comments ;)

@hugepedlar - look forward to seeing your mashups ;)

I've been following your videos on and off and I must say they're very helpful.

I'm hoping to get my personal blog and projects online within the next couple of years.

Right now, I've just got my personal blog up on a free hosting service, but once a little extra money I'll switch over to my own domain and hosting.

I'm also hoping to get up a project to help bookmark programs for download later, and integrate it with a small social networking setting.

Then try and get my own entry in the online music market, with a spin I haven't seen yet ;)

I'm working with my web developer on the Website for my company, as I have been for the past 3 months, unfortunately we are still in "Stealth" so I can't say anything about it!
